We are researchers at University of Wisconsin-Madison and Washington State University looking for payday loan users to participate in a study. If you have borrowed from a payday lender in the last two years, you may qualify! As part of the study, participants complete an interview about their financial lives and financial decisions. You might consider some questions sensitive, but you do not need to answer all of them! Each participant will be compensated $40 for the interview. The compensation will be mailed to your home on the day the interview is completed. The interview will last about 2 hours and take place over the phone at a time that is convenient for you. Everything you tell us is confidential, so what you say will never be linked to your name. In order to participate in this study, you need to live in the US and be able to speak in English.
