We excel at swiss-style machining in the thousands of parts per run. We consistently hold tolerances at or under.001” DESCRIPTION - MACHINIST HELPER Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and schematics. Use proper measurement equipment to insure quality. Use of microscope to inspect for defects in parts Look for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance ensuring product meets quality requirements. Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction. Recognize abnormalities and shut down equipment. Seek assistance to resolve problems. Maintain cleanliness and order of work area. Follow all safety procedures, including the use of all personal protective equipment. Obtain proper raw materials. Operate cut off saw or bandsaw as needed. MUST HAVES: Stable work history with a great attitude. Good mechanical ability and basic computer skills. Ability to work independently without direct supervision Effective verbal communication skills Physical ability to frequently lift and carry 25 lbs. and to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. 18 years of age or older with proof to work legally in the U.S. Must have reliable transportation to and from work site daily Able to take and follow verbal and written instructions Agree to a background and drug screen required for this position This job requires continuous motion, frequent walking, standing, and occasionally lifting. PREFERENCE GIVEN TO: CNC Machine Operating background Experience operating metalworking/machining equipment Ability to use all machinist hand tools as needed for inspection Ability to read and interpret blueprints Measuring skills and proficient with outside micrometers, dial-indicators and assorted gauges.
