FULL TIME & PART TIME SCHEDULES AVAILABLE, TRAINING & OPPORTUNITY FOR GROWTH. ** This position requires a valid driver's license ** The Spirit Of The Position: *Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or in a vehicle to enforce parking regulations in the City of Santa Ana pursuant to the Santa Ana Municipal Code and the California Vehicle Code. *Issue handwritten and computer-generated parking citations and transfer citation data to centralized system. *Maintain a high public visibility and have constant interaction with the public. *Regularly communicate general information regarding citation issuance, parking regulations, citation adjudication, and Anta Ana geographic. *Adhere to all policies, procedures, and directives of LAZ Parking and the City of Satna Ana. *Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. *Work under general supervision and typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Parking enforcement officers must: • be at least 21 years of age • possess a valid California driver license • have or obtain at their own cost a California Guard Card • join Teamsters Local 911 Union • fluently read, write, and speak the English language. • possess a high school diploma or equivalent Parking enforcement officers may not have any visible tattoos or piercings Successful applicants must be: • Willing to work in the elements - heat, wind, rain, etc. • Lift, push, and pull at least 25 pounds. • Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time (95-100% of shift) • Bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
