Description

Layfield is looking for a dynamic fabrication laborer who will be responsible for operating machinery, such as the extrusion welding rod machine, sewing machine, silt fence and other machinery that will fabricate geothermal films into finished products. This right candidate will: * Ensure that the final products meet the production specifications * Correctly set up, maintain and lubricate the machines * Maximize quality, production level and efficiency pertaining to fabrication activities * Follow all Quality Assurance and Production operating procedures * Perform changeovers as efficiently and carefully as possible * Ensure that the correct settings and parts are installed and that no mechanical defects exist, that may cause damage to the machine or product * Record all necessary information for production and quality records * Keep equipment and the surrounding area clean and free of debris at all times, including end of shift * Maintain accurate downtime reports and documentation * Inspect completed custom product to determine compliance with the customer requirements * Additional tasks as required by the production supervisor. Minimum Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent * 1 - 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment * 2 years experience in the fabrication of geosynthetic and industrial fabric materials or similar preferred. * Ability to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis Work Schedule: * Schedule from Monday - Friday * Some weekends * 1st or 2nd Shift
