Position Summary: Directs the activities of employees engaged in landscaping, hardscaping, servicing, and maintaining high end residential properties. Sales responsibility for landscape maintenance, installation, and lawn and garden maintenance services. Essential Tasks and Responsibilities: • Determine work priorities. • Effectively schedule resources. • Plans, develops, documents and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations. • Manages employee performance, conducts training and is responsible for hiring and firing direct reports. • Reviews production and quality reports and modifies procedures and processes as necessary. • Prepares reports on job progress. • Implements and monitors safety programs. • Interacts with clients by answering questions and resolving concerns. • Operates a variety of mechanical equipment, vehicles, and tools. • Works as a member of a crew as necessary. • Maintain high standard of quality of all work performed. Requirements: • Ability to work in a team environment. Minimize non-productive time. Demonstrate strong communication skills. • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail. • Ability to deliver quality results under tight deadlines. • Demonstrate working knowledge of general computer functions. • Demonstrate accountability for work being performed and completed on schedule. Knowledge and Experience: • This position requires five (5) year’s experience in the landscaping or hardscaping field. • The successful individual will have a working knowledge of standard horticultural practices and standard maintenance and construction practices. • Strong oral communication skills, job planning skills, math skills, and mechanical aptitude are a must. • MCLP, MCH, CLP, MCA, ISA, or any other applicable horticultural designation. • Possess a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and a driving record that is insurable by our insurance carrier and valid driver’s card.
