We are looking for a reliable Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of a multi-site residential real estate portfolio. A great candidate will have a solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. They will be well-versed in all maintenance process and health and safety regulations.. The ideal candidate must be strong in areas such as problem solving, customer service, working individually and/or as part of a team, and accountability. As lead maintenance technician, you will be responsible for coordinating all daily repairs for work orders, turnovers, and other emergencies that may come up. This is a hands on position and the ideal candidate must have the ability to both roll their sleeves up and get dirty as well as the ability to competently enter reports and other data into our system. A company vehicle will be provided. Responsibilities Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues Check electrical and plumbing systems of buildings to ensure functionality Plan all repair and installation activities Allocate workload and supervise third party staff Manage relationships with contractors and service providers Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities Ensure health and safety policies are complied with Skills Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc. Ability to use both hand and power tools Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment Ability to keep track of and report on activity Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in business administration or facility management will be an advantage
