So, New York just declared a disaster emergency on an object. Guns to be exact. I myself have never walked past a gun and had it suddenly attack me. I've never been in a gun store and seen them suddenly gang up on someone making demands. Hell, I've never even seen one commit a lawful act, such as target shooting, hunting or defending the house where it's stored. Seems to me it always requires a human. You don't have a " gun disaster " in New York, or any of the other states and cities that are now dealing with this problem. You have a criminal problem. And you have this mainly due to the past year and a half of screaming into every news outlet available that the police are now going to be a " kinder, gentler police force". That's great for the 90% of the population who are actually law abiding citizens, we welcome police who we don't have to be leery of. But the 10% who were already criminals? They didnt care about commiting crimes when the police would shoot first, ask questions later. WHAT did you expect when they now think the have free reign to do as they please?
