Join Columbus Gives Back at the Franklin County Board of Elections for the special election on August 3rd! Columbus Gives Back would like to invite you to assist the Franklin County Board of Elections on with election processes for the upcoming special election on Tuesday, August 3rd. We will be working in the warehouse receiving and sorting supplies, results and ballots from poll workers as they drive through the warehouse. This is a very important process you will be participating in and we are excited to be apart of it and appreciate your assistance. Volunteers Needed: 25 or more, so invite your friends! What: We will be split into teams to unload vehicles as they return from the polling stations and sorting items and delivering them to wherever they need to go. We will be working in the warehouse receiving supplies, results and ballots from poll workers as they drive through our warehouse. It may be cold so please dress appropriately. You are making democracy happen. The Board of Elections cannot accomplish this very important task without our assistance so it is very important that you honor your commitment. Masks are no longer required for outdoor events but please bring one to the event in case our nonprofit partners require them. Masks and social distancing are still required for all indoor events. About Columbus Gives Back: Columbus Gives Back coordinates group volunteer events with local non-profits, organizes philanthropic happy hours to raise support and awareness for our non-profit partners, and participates in other philanthropic events while emphasizing our social twist: to have fun with volunteers new and old during and after events in the hopes of creating a culture of community engagement amongst our target audience of young professionals. #SocialTwist: We have begun re-introducing social twists, where we invite volunteers to hang out with us after an event to have fun doing something local! As of May 1st, outdoor/patio social twists will be coordinated at the discretion of event leaders and volunteers.
