Join us to hear from Twelve Literary Arts Founder Daniel Gray-Kontar, the Performance Arts Incubator and the Hough Youth Advisory Council! PLEASE NOTE: This event will be in-person from 5-6:30 PM and followed by a happy hour networking event with light refreshments. Join us in-person at Dunham Tavern (6709 Euclid Avenue) for an engaging discussion/presentation from Twelve Literary Arts Founder and Executive Artistic Director Daniel Gray-Kontar as he discusses his work in community innovation and outreach in the Hough community. Gray-Kontar is the founder and Executive Artistic Director of Twelve Literary Arts and has worked as an advocate for social transformation in the city of Cleveland for more than 25 years, including with the Hough Youth Advisory Council and Performance Arts Incubator. Daniel is an education consultant for the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the former chair of the Literary Arts Department at the Cleveland School of the Arts; and a former graduate school fellow at UC Berkeley’s College of Education. His work in arts education has been showcased on PBS Newshour, The UK Guardian, NPR, and the Christian Science Monitor, and he spoke at TedxCLE in 2015. MidTown is a non-profit 501(c) 3 economic and community development corporation whose mission is to leverage our diverse assets to create a dymanic neighborhood uniting Cleveland's downtown and University Circle.
