Chemistry Makers is an activity for 1st-3rd grade students and is designed to get their inner scientist ready and excited to explore their curiosity! We will tackle two separate activities: Volcano Ahead and Mr. Air Head.
In Volcano Ahead, students will create a vinegar volcano and explore the WHY behind the vinegar and baking soda reaction.
In Mr. Air Head, students already know what baking soda and vinegar can do, but they will experiment with varying quantities and temperatures! We will explore the intensity of the reactions by allowing students to change variables in the experiment.
Within these exercises, students will learn the WHY and HOW of these reactions. Lets keep learning fun and exciting this summer!
