Join us on Thursday, August 5th at 10AM to explore George's Island and the Boston Harbor. Enjoy a summer trip to George's Island! Hop aboard the Provincetown II and enjoy a boat ride in the Boston Harbor over to George's Island! There will be music on the boat, a Ranger tour, of Fort Warren, a scavenger hunt, storytelling, Knucklebones activities and more! This is a free four hour trip with your entire foster family brought to you by Boston Harbor Now! Please note the following details: Pack sunscreen, a hat, or anything else you will need for being in the sun.Please pack plenty of water and snacks for the trip!A light box lunch will be included.There is water to buy on the boat.Limited picnic areas are available for you to sit and enjoy your picnic lunch! Otherwise, there are plenty of grassy areas to sit.As always, there are no trash receptacles on the island. Be prepared to carry out all trash generated on-island to dispose of at home.This event is for MA DCF Foster Families only and is a private event. You are welcome to bring foster children and biological children.
