CSU Spur Service Day: Extreme Community Makeover

Join us for a work day in the neighborhoods surrounding CSU Spur to work alongside community members on projects for their homes and block. What’s special about the Extreme Community Makeover non-profit is that community members identify home-related projects they need assistance with, and then work with volunteers to complete the projects. Work during this service day may include home repairs, alley clean-ups, and painting. Children are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Details will be shared in advance of the project with registrants; all volunteers will need to bring work gloves, sturdy footwear, and weather-appropriate clothing and sun protection. CSU Spur Service Days CSU Spur will open its first buildings at the National Western Center in January and be a place for the public to watch STEM-in-action and connect to education and careers. As part of being a good neighbor at our new campus, CSU Spur Service Days kicks off with a summer series of volunteering opportunities connected to the community spaces around CSU Spur. Space for each service day is limited, please register to reserve your volunteer space.
