Join us for the third in a series of FREE Carousel Family Days in celebration of the Glen Echo Park Carousel's 100th Anniversary!
Our third Carousel Family Day will feature performances and instrument demonstrations by Washington Conservatory of Music! Join us for a musical day at the Park with FREE and family-friendly performances and hands-on opportunities.
10 am - 3 pm: Instrument demonstrations and play on a painted piano [Park Grounds]
10 am: Washington Conservatory of Music's Capital Horns concert [Bumper Car Pavilion]
11 am: Ride the carousel to the music of a live brass ensemble! (carousel tickets required, purchase carousel tickets here)
12 pm: Musico the Magnificent Musical Magic Show [Bumper Car Pavilion]
1 pm: Dave Manley Trio performance (jazz, funk and rock) [Bumper Car Pavilion]
2 pm: Ukulele Jamboree (BYO Uke) with Mike Kligerman & the Tri-State Ukeclectics, [Cuddle Up Pavilion]
The first 50 participants at each performance will receive a FREE t-shirt!
The Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture, Inc. manages Glen Echo Park, one of the most lively visual and performing arts sites in the Washington area.
Each year, more than 350,000 people come to the Park to renew their creative spirit through arts classes, festivals, exhibitions, dances, children’s theater, music performances, nature programs, and more.
Established by Montgomery County in 2002, the Partnership is a nonprofit organization charged with managing Glen Echo Park’s arts programs and facilities, including its historic buildings. The Partnership's mission is to present vibrant artistic, cultural, and educational offerings at the Park and to promote the Park as a unique destination for the region’s diverse population.
