Sad standup is not a thing. But if it did exist, it would be an attempt to find joy in the midst of loss and laughter near the end of grief. What to expect: Less funny than standup comedyMore funny than a funeralThere will be musicWhat people might say about this afterwards: “This wasn’t nearly as long as I feared” “It was way more fun than the funerals I’ve been to.” “The venue had stellar seating arrangements” About Ted Ted is a Kansas native and co-owner of Moonbase Labs. He has two sons, Lewis (3) and Ford (1), with his wife Ellie. This is his first sad standup performance. About Thomas Thomas Richard Stanley, 33, died tragically on September 28, 2019. He was a devoted husband to Ashley and father to Charlotte, Peter and Claire. He lived in Wichita for more than a decade, most recently residing in Andover. He spent the majority of his career at the Kansas Leadership Center and you can read more about his story on their website. All proceeds go to the Stanley Children’s fund.
