Infragard Southeast Texas CSC - 2020 Q3 Members ONLY Meeting Presentation: RANSOMWARE: The Evolving Landscape of Cyber Threats The presentation will review the evolving landscape of cyber threats with a focus on ransomware. In recent years, ransomware has changed from an obscure new way of monetizing computer intrusions to a serious threat to the country’s businesses, the private information of citizens and consumers, and the country’s critical infrastructure. Guest Speaker: Nicholas Bludworth FBI Special Agent Nicholas Bludworth is currently assigned to the Houston Field Office Cyber Task Force. He was previously assigned to computer intrusion investigations at the Honolulu Field Office. Prior to FBI service, he worked as a software engineer in the aerospace and defense industry. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
