Description

Introducing the 1st Annual Boat House Poker Chip Run on the Fox Chain O' Lakes! Make your way around the Chain to hit all 5 checkpoints! The Boat House Poker Run is an exciting new fundraiser in which participants will hit the open water, stopping at each of the five checkpoints to draw a single poker chip and stamp the color of the chip drawn on their scorecard. At the end of the run, each poker chip color will be randomly assigned a point value. The scorecard with the most points will be the winner! The Boat House Chicago has established a route and timeframe that will allow any type of boat to participate. Participants will follow the predetermined route to each of the checkpoints at a pace of their choosing but the run must be completed in 4 hours. This is not a race, winning is purely a matter of chance. Additional prizes, including gift cards, merch, and other prizes donated by participating bars and sponsors, will be awarded to the boats with the second, third, and last place scorecards. In order to play, each boat will pay a fee to enter; half of the fee will go straight to the prize pool and the remaining half will be donated to United Way of Greater McHenry County. - RULES -Participants must register via The Boat House Chicago Eventbrite page. At each of the 5 checkpoints there will be a volunteer with a bag of poker chips waiting on the pier. Safely dock your boat or drop off a crew member to meet the volunteer and draw one chip at random from the bag. Once the volunteer has stamped your scorecard, return to your boat, and continue to the next checkpoint. The only requirement is that participants must reach every check-point and return to Boat House Bay by 2pm on Saturday, July 17th. Our team will then determine the winners and announce them at 3pm. All participating boats must draw a poker chip at all five checkpoints to complete their scorecard. After drawing the fifth chip at the final stop, participants will bring their scorecard(s) back to The Boat House Chicago A dock. We will then determine the point value of each chip color, count each scorecard, and determine the winners. Prizes are given to the top three highest scores and to the worst score. Winners will return to A Dock following the announcement to collect their prizes. (Prize pool will be half the sum of registration fees less processing fees) - BE SAFE - BE COURTEOUS - HAVE FUN! -
