Live, curated showcase of Black community members telling true personal stories that will rock your world. Stories Matter is a live, curated story performance featuring Black community members telling true personal stories around the theme, Break Out! The storyteller line-up features a dynamic mix of youth and elders -- from a young actor turned activist who becomes a father, to Dr. Ruby Simpkins, a physician and poet who weaves true tales to heal the soul and body. This unique entertainment experience is for everyone who enjoys stories well told! Doors open at 3:00 pm with music and mingling. Come early to enjoy delicious food and drinks, and the beautiful, eclectic Bang the Drum Brewery in their new location. In creative collaboration with The Reboot - Storytelling ReImagined. R.A.C.E. Matters is a community-based organization that amplifies the voices of Black and other People of Color; in an effort to build an actively anti-racist Central Coast.
