The Drop Top Spindle: Make, Spin & Take Make your own spindle and learn the basics of spinning yarn. Participants will also learn how to comb and card raw fleece that’s been turned into roving. Participants will stain their spindles using handmade natural walnut stain and wax the spindle using natural beeswax. August 5, 2021 Time: 11am-3pm As this is a service, all sales are final, there are no refunds. About the artist/instructor: Calandra Cooper is a multi-disciplinary creative that finds beauty in the aesthetics of textile, including using natural dyes, paints, and chalk pastel to create interest, pattern and texture on fabric and other natural fibers. Calandra also enjoys creating sculpture for the body through the art of fashion draping and pattern making. Calandra is the owner of Inigo Arts and has taught creative workshops through local community colleges, art venues and to private parties. Calandra is also a beekeeper.
