WOOLY WORKSHOP: Processing Raw Fleece: Skirt, Wash, Comb & Card During this workshop, you’ll bring dirty fleece to life by transforming fiber from sheep into the workable fibers needed to make handmade yarn and textiles, including learning how to skirt, wash, dry, comb and card raw fleece using time-honored tools! As this is a service, all sales are final, there are no refunds. About the artist/instructor: Calandra Cooper is a multi-disciplinary creative that finds beauty in the aesthetics of textile, including using natural dyes, paints, and chalk pastel to create interest, pattern and texture on fabric and other natural fibers. Calandra also enjoys creating sculpture for the body through the art of fashion draping and pattern making. Calandra is the owner of Inigo Arts and has taught creative workshops through local community colleges, art venues and to private parties. Calandra is also a beekeeper.
