Summary Project Houseworks is a home repair nonprofit organization that provides low-income senior homeowners solutions that allow them to stay safely housed in healthy environments by delivering free, professional home repairs and home modifications. We are seeking a Construction Project Manager with a passion to serve senior homeowners and the community. This direct first-line supervisor is responsible for the on-site crew management and completion of Project Houseworks’ home repair and modification projects. Our ideal candidate will be someone who strives to understand senior homeowners’ situations and is sensitive to their needs, with a focus on keeping them warm, safe, and independent in their homes. Primary Job Responsibilities: -Reports to Construction Manager and coordinates with Program Staff to create project work plans. -Implements action plans for daily work and assigns specific duties to be performed by crew members. -Manages construction activities and trains crew members to ensure company procedures are followed (includes physically demanding work). -Procures materials for each project. -Adheres to project schedule and approved scope of work. -Communicates with homeowners to ensure their safety & comfort, while maintaining safety standards in all aspects of each project. -Controls quality of installation to ensure final product meets Project Houseworks’ standards and creates punch list if needed. -Reviews and walks homeowners through the completed work and talks to homeowners to ensure they are happy with work that was done. -Applies efforts toward Project Houseworks’ home repair, home modification, property rehabilitation and other programs as directed. -Maintains shop organization, tool inventory, and van fleet. Desired Skills and Experience: -Three to five years of construction / project management experience. -Strong working knowledge of construction practices and trades. -Familiarity with BuilderTrend a plus. -Certified Aging in Place Specialists or interest in attaining are encouraged to apply. -Excellent communication skills to develop solid working relationships with clients, establish rapport with stakeholders, and motivate others toward achieving goals. -Organized, self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively. -Exhibiting objective listening skills, courtesy, compassion, initiative, creativity and good judgment. -Background, motor vehicle & employment checks will be required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: -High school diploma / GED equivalent -Contractor’s license preferred, but not required -OSHA 10 Certification preferred, but will train -Must maintain valid driver’s license and be insurable Physical Demands: Level 3: Medium Work. Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
