Join us for a ten week program designed to take a proactive approach to opioid prevention, and develop different skills for your family!
The Empowering Youth & Families Program (EYFP) takes a proactive approach to opioid and substance prevention in middle school youth and their caregivers. Opioids have becaome a huge problem in North Carolina and the whole country, and we want to address substance misuse before it becomes a problem in our community's youth. Participating families will build on their strong foundations already in place to devolop communication, teamwork, and community outreach skills. EYFP is not designed for those already in an opioid or substance crisis. Rather, it is designed for families who want to take a proactive approach in talking about substance misuse and share this information with the community. Along with the 10 weekly meetings, this program includes a weekend retreat at one of our state's 4-H camp and a community outreach event.
This program is free of charge for anyone who would like to participate, and a meal will be provided each night. We look forward to having your family!
