About 400 sq ft of the asphalt roof blown off in the last storm.
Need to start Thur AM.
I need help putting down a blow torch roof. I have all the expertise, having done it before, just gotten old and need a couple people with muscle that can stand the a little sun. It'll be half torch installed, and half nailed.
The roof is 10 1/2 ft tall at the walls and a 4.5/12 pitch. It's just high enough to cause a serious injury if not careful, which is why roofing experience is preferred. Not necessary for someone good at hammering and a good worker, but preferred
I'll have some scaffold installed for the edge work.
I prefer to work early around 5:30 AM til maybe 10am, then again around 4:30 - 8;00 in the afternoon, trying to stay out of the heat of the day. I don't know how long it will take, it's not very fast doing a torch down and I'm old and slow.
$15 hour if paid at end of job and no injury that requires attention. $12 an hour if paid Daily or injured.
You need transportation and a commitment to show up on time. No smokers. I will need a valid ID up front because you will be covered by Workman's Compensation. Bring snacks. I will bring lots of cold water.
Best if you don't live too far away. This could turn into a lot more odd jobs in the future if you can be flexible.
