Miami Poetry Club is a group of Miami writers who share their writing every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at The Broken Shaker in Miami Beach. Miami Poetry Club is a group of Miami writers. While we emphasize poetry and use it as a foundation in our meetups, we welcome writers from all genres. READ THESE DETAILS! Miami Poetry Club meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at The Broken Shaker in Miami Beach from 7pm - 9pm. This meetup is intended to allow writers to share their work and collect constructive feedback from other writers. You are not required to come with a piece to share, however you are required to respectfully listen to others and participate with constructive, positive feedback. If you do bring a piece, please bring 7-10 printed copies of it so everyone (or most everyone) in the group can have a copy, follow along as you read, and make notes. You can keep these notes at the end of the meeting. Please keep the pieces you bring to a 3-page max to allow time for everyone to share. Each meeting will have a theme that writers can write toward. The theme for each meeting will be set at the previous meeting, and will be posted on social channels. This theme is suggested, and you do not have to write toward it, but we invite you to start there and see where it takes you!
