come help pick up litter in Allsopp Park and toward Cantrell Road with we.grow.eco, while supporting chauncey as he walks across the U.S. a human named chauncey has decided to walk from Virginia Beach, Virginia to San Francisco, California. along the way, he's meeting up with folks in local communities to pick up trash & talk about civic engagement & grassroots organizing. his friend noah is along for the ride in the support vehicle to help coordinate & document the adventures along the way. learn more about the project at www.wegroweco.org. COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP: 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on Sunday July 11th we are inviting folks in the Little Rock, AR community to join us on Sunday, July 11th at 9:30 a.m. to pick up some litter in Allsopp Park and along Cantrell Road. we will meet by the tennis courts in Allsopp Park (3700 Cedar Hilll Road, Little Rock AR). upon arrival, participants will be assigned to a group of 5 -15 people, &: each group will be a given gloves & bags/buckets to collect litter, & we will have a brief orientation about how the morning will go.one group will spread out in the park, and another group will head east toward Cantrell Road.after collecting litter, we will gather together to document our trash haul, take a group photo, & debrief about single-use plastic pollution & possible grassroots power-driven solutions.please bring: a full (reusable) water bottle, and any snacks you may want (we will also have snacks & a water jug)a hat & sunscreen for sun protectionshoes and clothes for outdoor activitiesa mask, if you are not vaccinatedthere are bathrooms at the park. we look forward to seeing you out there! in solidarity, chauncey & noah
