Sudbury Spa That Survived Pandemic Can Now Celebrate Opening

SUDBURY, MA — One year ago, Jasmin Taliadouros, the owner of Infinity MedSpa in Sudbury, struck a defiant tone. "Mark my words, we will make it," she said. That was June 2020 when the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic was subsiding, but much of Massachusetts was still under pandemic restrictions. It was months before the worse second wave of coronavirus hit the state when the weather cooled down. But Taliadouros was right. After more than a year of lockdowns, vaccine shortages and mask mandates, she's set to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday for her Boston Post Road spa. Taliadouros made it through the pandemic through determination, and some marketing skill. She handed out masks last spring, asking for customers to donate to the Sudbury Community Food Pantry as a fee. She also offered discounts to customers who donated to the food pantry. The idea was to help people through the pandemic, but also let them know the business was there. Gov. Charlie Baker lifted all coronavirus restrictions on May 29, and his coronavirus state of emergency ended in mid-June. With the ribbon cutting set for Wednesday morning, Taliadouros is looking forward to a return to normal, where she can focus on services like "vampire" facials and Botox treatments. "It is time for celebrating the end of COVID-19 restrictions and the dawn of happy days!" an invite to the ribbon cutting said.
