SARASOTA, FL — A driver was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on Fruitville Road early Tuesday, Sarasota police shared on Facebook just after midnight. The accident took place near the intersection of Fruitville and Lockwood Ridge roads. All eastbound and westbound lanes of Fruitville Road between Lockwood Ridge and Beneva roads were temporarily closed while police investigated.
