Enjoy an evening at Lafayette Greens Garden! Sip & Taste on some local bites and cocktails while raising support for The Greening of Detroit Join us at the “Sip and Taste Garden Stroll” at Lafayette Greens, our tranquil and beautiful urban garden located in the heart of downtown Detroit. This event will take place on Friday, September 17th from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. Amidst fruit trees, blooming flowers, butterfly gardens and vegetables growing on the vine, tickets are limited, guests will taste delectable bites sourced locally and enhanced with fragrant herbs from the garden, enjoy sweet Michigan treats prepared by Soil 2 Service, and sip local wines by Sandhill Cranes Vineyard and signature cocktails . Come out and enjoy a summer night in the city while helping to raise critical support for The Greening of Detroit. Lafayette Greens is located at 132 W. Precautions will be in place in accordance with CDC and State of Michigan directions for COVID protection. Thirty years ago, we responded to Detroit's need to restore its urban forest through tree plantings. As the needs of the city changed and grew, we continued to respond with increasing Detroit's green infrastructure, and creating a workforce training program for adult residents with barriers to employment. We believe there is tremendous opportunity to create and inspire a new green paradigm for Detroit.
