We Are LIT bookshop owner Kendra, will be in conversation with child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist, Dr. Carolyn King around gender education and the picture book she co-authored, A Kid Named Syd that explores identity through a child's eyes. The opportunity to purchase a copy of the book and an author signing will follow. This is an in-person event hosted by We Are LIT at Grand Rapids African American Museum and Archives located at 87 Monroe Center NW Free 1-hour parking is available inside the Monroe Center Parking Garage.
