Description
LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA — Motorists could encounter temporary traffic stoppages at the intersection of Taylorsville and Woodside roads in Lower Makefield during daytime hours Wednesday.
Weather permitting, work crews are scheduled to put the busy intersection into its final configuration as part of the Scudder Falls Bridge Replacement Project, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission said Tuesday.
The work, expected to take just one day to complete, will include new pavement markings for Taylorsville Road and the activation of permanent traffic signals at the intersection, a short distance north of Exit 10 for the I-295/Taylorsville Road interchange. The new intersection will also include a 500-foot auxilary lane for Taylorsville Road traffic north of the intersection, and two left-turn-only lanes for traffic turning off Taylorsville Road northbound onto Woodside Road westbound.
Final paving and line painting at the intersection is scheduled to take place in the fall, the commission said, as part of third and final stage of work on the nearly five-year-long Scudder Falls Bridge Replacement Project.
