PITTSBURGH, PA — WTAE-TV debuts a new hour-long 4 p.m. afternoon newscast Tuesday, with Andrew Stockey, Kelly Sasso and meteorologist Jeff Verszyla anchoring the program. The coronavirus outbreak is largely responsible for the new programming, according to WTAE-TV president and general manager Charles Wolfertz III. "Viewers schedules have changed since the pandemic, we determined now is a perfect opportunity to provide those viewers with additional time options to watch Pittsburgh's Action News 4," he said in a post on the station's website. The news expansion will change WTAE's current program schedule as follows; Tamron Hall moves to 10 a.m. from 3 p.m.; Ellen moves to 3 p.m. from 4 p.m.; and Dr. Oz moves to 1:05 a.m. from 10 a.m. Be the first to know what's happening in your community and region.
