PITTSBURGH, PA — The Rex Theater in the South Side, which became a coronavirus business casualty last year, will reopen next month as Enclave. A popular place for concerts and other entertainment for more than a decade before its closure, the venue's rechristening was announced subtly in a Drusky Entertainment Facebook post for an upcoming Myles Kennedy concert. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the building's new owner is Chris Firman, who formerly ran the Static nightclub in the Strip District. Originally opened as a vaudeville theater in 1905, the Rex Theater had been a fixture in the South Side for more than a century.
