Description
MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Crime was still up in Manhattan Beach during the period from June 14-24, according to a crime report released by the Manhattan Beach Police Department. The report lists 40 incidents, including accounts of burglary, theft, and assault.
AssaultOn 6/16, there was one account of assault on the 100 block of Manhattan Beach Blvd.
Auto TheftBetween 6/14-24, there were seven cases of auto theft reported between, including an e-bike being stolen from the 400 block of Manhattan Beach Blvd.
Burglary
There were three reports of both commercial and residential burglary between 6/16 and 6/23. A screen was removed from a window at a home on the 400 block of 30th St. A lockbox was damaged at a commercial building on the 900 block of Manhattan Ave.
RobberyA reported robbery occurred on 6/17 on the 3200 block of N Sepulveda Bl. ID cards were stolen.
Vehicle BurglaryThere were five reports of vehicle burglary between 6/15-6/23. Windows were smashed in three of the cases.
Theft
There were 21 reports of theft in Manhattan Beach between 6/15-23, including four catalytic converter thefts on the 1800 block of 8th St St, the 1600 block of 2nd St, the 900 block of N Rowell Ave., and the 1300 block of Lynngrove Dr. Money was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 2400 block of N Sepulveda, and money and sunglasses were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 1500 block of Ruhland Ave.
Vandalism
There were two cases of vandalism reported on 6/22 and 6/23 on the 500 block of Rosecrans Ave and the 4200 block of The Strand.
