IREDELL COUNTY, NC — While summer feels like it's just getting started, school officials around the county are already looking ahead to the next school year beginning next month. Students in Iredell-Statesville Schools return to classes Monday, Aug. 23, and with them comes the need for new school supplies. "Iredell-Statesville Schools is looking for organizations and businesses, large and small, who are interested in holding a school supply drive," Boen Nutting, spokesperson for the school district, said Tuesday. "In partnership with the United Way of Iredell County, we will pick up school supply donations and make sure they are put into the hands of students who need them most."
