GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking Construction Laborers to join our team Amarillo, TX. The ideal candidate has more than 2 years of experience working in construction settings, can perform manual labor, and is familiar working around heavy equipment.
Position Overview
Provide support for Decontamination & Demolition (D&D), remediation, and construction projects.
Prepares site for daily work, performs all housekeeping and duties necessary for daily activities.
Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
Work with hand tools shoveling, sweeping, jack hammer, maintenance of personnel decontamination areas and spotting for equipment operators.
Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
2+ years’ relevant experience in construction settings.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, push, pull, and lift in repetitive motions.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to consistently pass background checks and drug tests.
