Over 50 bassist seeking an ORIGINAL MUSIC PROJECT. I'm just not interested in playing other people's stuff any longer. Reliable transportation, I show up on time ready to go to work, and I truly appreciate the creative process and working with people who are on the same page. Not into rap/Sinatra/Big Band/50's music. I'm only interested in writing/recording/performing original music that we'll write together. Pro gear/attitude/experience, tons of hours in the studio and on stage. I'm a singer/songwriter/musician/recording artist. I play bass (4 and 8 string), rhythm guitar (6 and 12 string, acoustic and electric), percussion (I play claves, maracas, triangle, hand drums/congas, and I swing a mean tambourine), SOME keys (piano, synth, Hammond). I sing lead and backing vocals (upwards of 6 parts), and produce/engineer/mix and arrange. My ego stays outside the studio, very easy to work with. I'm a total team player. With me, it's all about THE MUSIC. I have LA contacts and know the music biz. I'm married, but free to travel when the time comes. Non-smoker, no drugs or alcohol issues, and I'm hoping to find other like-minded musicians. Looking to find a band of serious musicians with similar experience, live and in-studio, as well as being solid singers/songwriters/musicians who are not ready to hang it all up just yet. Main influences are: Beatles, Who, Zep, Motown, Grand Funk, MC5, Cactus/Vanilla Fudge, Foo Fighters, Petty, Moody Blues, Mooney Suzuki, Purple, Traffic/Steve Winwood, Alice Cooper, Frost, ALL Detroit rock, tons more. Bass influences are; Paul McCartney, John Entwistle, John Paul Jones, James Jamerson, Mel Schacher, Tim Bogert, Roger Glover, etc., etc. Guys who ROCK. I grew up in the Detroit music scene, spent hours and hours going to Mt. Holly, Grande Ballroom, Cobo, Alpine Valley, 300 Bowl, IRock, Harpos, etc., just about anywhere music was being performed in the Detroit area. I'm a straight ear musician who can literally hear a tune once, and am able to play it right then. Send me a note. I've had both COVID shots (Pfizer), am COVID-free and ready to get back to writing/recording/performing. I also do studio sessions, musically as well as voice-overs and commercial tracks, including vocals. I have tracks to share to show what I can add to your project/band. Startup projects are OK, so long as you're serious about writing, recording and performing. Always willing to put in the work necessary to make GREAT MUSIC.
