seeking players for original songs and other mutually selectable covers. (to listen, go to soundcloud and search APmercury) I have rented practice time 9pm Tuesday nights in a studio in SE near the Brooklyn neighborhood. Drummer would just bring your own snare and cymbals. bring your amp and instrument for guitars and bass, PA provided for anything else. I saw an organ or keyboard in the space, also. I’ve got a bunch of original songs that I’ve been working on the past couple years and now I want to flesh them out with a group. Looking mostly for drums, bass, keys/synthesizer, lead guitar, and I’m open to any number of other instrumentalists, and need vocal harmony. The songs i linked above are Skeletons or blueprints, I play rhythm guitar and sing the lead vocal and I’d like to add parts; your creative input is welcomed. as far as style, Think: The Band, Neil Youngs Crazyhorse, Bob Dylan, Steve Earle, Jason Isbell, Elvis Costello, Tom waits, Bright Eyes, Built to Spill, Ween, Morphine, Jeff Buckley, Big Star, Wilco, The Kinks, Tom Petty, Allen Toussaint, and who knows, those are just a couple handfuls of my influences that i hear in the songs. But i want other players to bring their style and we’ll find out whats what. RnR. I plan to track the songs for release then do some touring, but dont need a commitment from anyone, just need some folks to play with right now. Ive got the space starting tonight (july 6) at 9 pm and each following tuesday, its a great private space, Im relaxed and confident in the songs, and have lead sheets/chord charts. Please text me if you’re interested. playing music should be a good time. bring some beers if you want and smoke your herbs should you vibe in such a way. but you must act professionally, I dont want to waste anyone’s time or put anyone at risk of negligent, criminal or selfish behaviours.
