I miss the sound of your laugh, the vibration of your voice. Your hand in mine. I think most of all, I miss the color of your eyes. It’s a color I see in my minds eye - that I look for all day. It’s a color that answers a question in me.
You are my heart to heart. You are my home.
So many years spent denying the truth of who we are to each other, because we were afraid. Afraid to lose everything, afraid to lose ourselves. I am not afraid anymore.
You are my other half. You are the other part of me. You give me life and you are my life. I feel you in my mind and heart. You are my joy. You are my color blue. I feel completely secure in your love. I finally see who we are to each other. Everything finally makes sense.
Sometimes we still play games. Old habits die hard, and boredom plays tricks on us. I’m still growing. They say when you find your person they challenge you to be better. It is painfully clear now that’s true for me. I am ready to drop my guard. What I am is yours.
