We are currently seeking an individual for a 124 unit apartment complex located in Independence, OR. Responsibilities: Prioritize, manage, and perform general maintenance service requests to meet deadlines. Inspect community grounds continuously, record deficiencies, report to community manager, and act as needed. Recognize and address safety issues and perform necessary corrective measures and procedures for all personnel. Remain aware of community activities. Adhere to move in schedule(s) and service request deadlines. Monitor maintenance parts, tools and equipment inventory and manage supply needs. Maintain order and appearance of shop and storage areas. Perform community grounds clean up. Maintain all maintenance and grounds equipment and tools. Comply with national, state and local health and safety laws to reduce accident occurrences and to protect residents, the company, team members, Remain available for “on call” duties as needed. Act on emergency situations appropriately, including reporting them to the Community Manager. Monitor vendor performance. Qualifications: 1-2 years of building maintenance or related experience required. Some college and/or technical coursework preferred; HS Diploma or GED required. Experience in the areas of communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, and carpentry. Ability to bend, stretch, twist, walk continuously, and access restricted spaces. Ability to operate and maintain maintenance and grounds equipment. Ability to lift or to move up to 75 pounds. May need to provide own tools.
