Looking for food/event service people to volunteer at fundraiser

Looking for servers, bartenders, cooks and others to help local Latinx non-profit fundraiser “Dando Bailando, Viva la Vida” on Saturday September 18th 2021 at The Laurelhurst Club. Edúcate Ya is Portland non-profit funded over 20 years ago to help the Latinx community addressing the integration challenges faced in language, health, leadership, and education. We have several free programs for the community and offer affordable Spanish lessons and interpretation/translation services. We will be celebrating our Gala on Saturday September 18th at The Laurelhurst Club from 5pm to 9pm. The event will include dinner, bar, live salsa music, a silent auction and dancing. We are looking for people interested in volunteering with us by helping tend the bar, serve dinner plus dessert, set up the event space, and clean up after the event. For our bartender positions we will require you to have an OLCC valid card, for our food servers we require you to have a food handlers valid card, if you do not have these we can find positions for you to help! Our shifts will be 3 hours min and 7 hours maximum, depending on your availability. You are welcome to enjoy the party, eat dinner and try your luck at the silent auction! It will be a fun event, in which we hope to raise funds for our programs and connect with our community in a meaningful way.
