New Fairfield Historical Society The Little Red Schoolhouse 19 Brush Hill Rd. New Fairfield, CT July 11, 2021 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. New Fairfield Historical Society invites the public to The Little Red Schoolhouse for an Open House. New Fairfield was established as a farming community in 1740. To commemorate the town’s origins a “Farm Tool” demonstration will take place. An antique Farm-All tractor will also be in attendance. The schoolhouse has been maintained by the New Fairfield Historical Society as a living history museum since 1969. Volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions about the schoolhouse and the town’s original 7 one-room school system. The event is free however donations are greatly appreciated!
