It does come apart for storage and transport. It has a 4 pin assembly required so there is a lower price--a little more difficult to assemble but once together is is much more stable and resistant to a dog that does not like confinement. Tray is cracked but taped together so there are no sharp edges. 2 latches on the single door for better containment. My dog days are over so it is time to let it move on. Downsizing! Cash only.
