Guitarist wants to form or join psychedelic proto metal hard rock band

Looking to form or possibly join a psychedelic proto metal type hard rock band. I would like to start with a few covers that you may not be familiar with, but if you like those genres you should like them. At least three so we will have a short set to play at open mics etc. Then we can start writing originals. I have a place to practice, write and record. Also, although I love those genres, I do not want to get pigeonholed as doing only that. We can do other things, for example I love new wave. I have international contacts so if they like what we are writing they can make things happen for us. I have not lived here very long and there was covid during most of that time so if you have local contacts that would be great. My contacts can get me gigs and local contacts here but I am not going to look for that until we have a couple of originals and we feel ready. As for myself I would be mostly doing lead guitar but if we end up with a rhythm guitarist we can switch off sometimes. I am fine with that, I have been playing way too long for ego trips.
