New Home Construction Manager Sign On Bonus & Relocation Available Megatel Homes is looking for construction managers to work in Frisco, Wylie, and Prosper! Megatel Homes is building in more communities than ever and we need experienced construction managers to support our current business needs and potential growth in the Dallas/Fort Worth area! Job Responsibilities • Manage trade partners and consultants; inspect work and approve payment for acceptable work and materials. *Manage contract adherence and provide input on subcontractor selection. • Manage Assistant Construction Managers; provide training and feedback to foster their growth and advancement • Manage safety for self; oversees safety of other Megatel Home's employees on the job site; evaluate safety violations and exercise judgment to take appropriate action • Manage work against benchmarks and timetables to ensure that trade partner, employees and vendors perform on schedule and adhere to budget • Exercise discretion to plan and coordinate home starts; modify schedule in response to field conditions to achieve company goals • Manage home-building process from permitting stage to home delivery and throughout the first year of warranty • Use sound judgment to implement Megatel Home's job site compliance programs and monitor subcontractor compliance with applicable regulations such as building codes, environment laws, SWIPP, and health and safety programs • Act as Megatel Home's primary representative on the job site with third parties such as a trade partners, customers, government inspectors and investigators • Manage daily site logistics to ensure contractors work harmoniously; stage the job by determining the timing and location of material deliveries; sequencing of work and option installation and verify prior work is completed to Megatel Home's high quality standards prior to moving on to future stages of work • Communicate with sales team, purchasing team, homeowners, consultants, trades, building officials and customer care to successfully execute the home building process • Ensure that home buyers have a positive and low stress experience and are satisfied with their new home Qualifications • Strong knowledge of home construction based on prior experience • Ability to read, understand and implement adjustments to architectural and structural blueprints, off-site improvement plans and soils reports • Knowledge of relevant building codes and all scopes of work • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and Project • Ability to adapt to new technologies for project management • 4 Year of relevant construction experience or education REQUIRED
