Maintenance Worker III – Streets Streets & Traffic Engineering Division Public Works Department Application deadline: Friday, July 23, 2021 Visit www.icgov.org/jobs to apply online One permanent full time position available Full salary range: $55,328.00 – $70,824.00 Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm Job summary: Under general direction, operates heavy equipment and serves as lead worker in constructing, maintaining and repairing streets. Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years of experience in street maintenance or in a related field required. Must live within 17 miles of the corporate limits of Iowa City, Iowa within one year of appointment to the position. Valid Iowa Class B commercial driver's license with satisfactory driving record required. Valid Iowa Class A commercial driver's license with air brake and tanker endorsements required within 6 months of hire. This position is subject to federal drug testing requirements. A pre-employment drug screen is required. Must be 18 years of age per Iowa Code 92.8. Must pass criminal background check. Preferred qualifications: Three years of experience in street maintenance or related field preferred.
