THIS IS SIMPLE BASIC MUSIC. TWANGY COUNTRY/OLD TIMEY INFLUENCED LIGHT ROCK-ISH STUFF. MAYBE A LITTLE CCR. TOM PETTY. BRUCE. DONT KNOW HOW ELSE TO DESCRIBE IT. ID LIKE TO FIND PEOPLE THAT LOVE AND HAVE A KNOWLEDGE OF THES GENRE FROM THE GET GO. ITS SUPER IMPORTANT. THX. Looking for an experienced drummer able to pick up on the groove quickly and to embellish on about 30 original songs and a few covers in the style of of how we write and play, and eventual collaboration once we get a feel for each other. Its all about the song to me so I'm looking for a musician working toward that end. We come from the indie/punk scene so please have an understanding of the independent scene. If your experience is doing the cover band thing, I am not interested...unless youre some kind of studio prodigy...lol..then, of course. Flavor of the music has been compared to Tom Petty, Neil Young, Son Volt/Uncle Tupelo/Jay Farrar. Crunchy guitar sounding upbeat songs about the simple things in life. Some acoustic. Melancholy often. Some social criticism in the spirit of Woody Guthrie. Music is easy to play into with old time music chord structures. Will have leads incorporated without overplaying. Goal is to open for touring national acts and play festivals locally and in the region, or a select bars/venues that are a good fit. Headline where possible. Potentially a tour leg if offered. Making an EP toward that end. So availability/flexibility is key. I also do all the branding, social media, merch design, etc so I can make us look legit for promotion/marketing and offer a revenue stream. I don't care about the money, so I will give all involved all the gig money minus practice space rental/supplies/gas etc. I can make money on the march but willing to share that too... Please be willing to practice regularly. No flakes please. If you really only kind of interested and don't have time to commit then please pass. No rock star wannabes please. Its all about the music and the songs first, sharing the stories of life, and the love of playing. Will send samples upon interest. Thx and looking forward to making some good music!
