Audi Beaverton and Porsche Beaverton is looking to add a Groundskeeper/Landscaper to its Award Winning team! We pride ourselves in having well-kept buildings and grounds just like the vehicles we service and sell. This position is full time and will primarily work Monday through Friday. Experience in this field is necessary for consideration. Grounds keeper/Landscaper Essential Duties: -Ensuring property maintains exceptional curb appeal by up keeping the grounds and ensuring properly maintained. -Assisting in lawn and landscape maintenance including repair/adjustment of sprinklers and irrigation systems. -Removing snow from walkways and laying deicer during Winter Season as needed. -Assisting facilities team members with upkeep of buildings as needed. Some of these tasks may include pressure washing and lot maintenance. -Landscaping duties will include lawn care, weed control, foliage & plant maintenance (excludes arbor work), raking, blowing the lot with a gas blower. -Perform all aspects of landscaping, upkeep, pest irradiation, irrigation, and other associated property upkeep. -Adhere to schedules: plan, provide, prioritize, and organize work in an efficient & timely manner. -Operate facility maintenance vehicles (trucks and trailers). -Maintain proper pruning, care, planting of plants, trees, shrubs and grass. -Follow instructions on chemicals, equipment, procedures, schedules, and timelines, fill out order forms, and any necessary documents to perform the duties in this position. -Application, storage, and safe use of all chemicals/fertilizer. Physical Demands: -Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. -Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic chemicals. -Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud with lawn equipment use. -Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position. -Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling. -Frequent repetitive motions. -Continuous standing and walking. -May need to use some protective equipment, such as a respirator, gloves, earplugs, eye guards/visors, boots and hat Qualifications: -High school diploma, or equivalent. -1 year of Landscape experience, preferred. -Knowledge of common plant/turf diseases, insects, pests, and methods used to control them. -Follow written or oral instructions with minimal repetition and supervision. -Customer service & interpersonal skills: properly respond to requests; adjust schedules to meet the needs of the building; provide or ask for help to complete tasks/repairs; effectively communicate with staff and guests/clients. -Time management skills for providing and producing sufficient work. Ability to learn and adapt to new programs, systems and procedures. -Must be able to communicate effectively at all times, remain alert at all times, recognize and appropriately respond to emergencies as well as routine safety concerns, must be able to recognize and effectively resolve risks to employees or other customers within the area. -Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. -A valid driver’s license and a good driving record, preferred.
