If your tank is overrun by snails assassin snails may be just what you're looking for. Assassin snails will eat all of those pesky snails for you and not overrun your tank! Assassin snails won't cannibalize so you can have more than one and they aren't hermaphrodites like most snails so they cannot reproduce on their own and if you do get a male and a female they can only lay one egg at a time so it would take such a long time for them to possibly overpopulate. $3 per snail or 5 for $12.
