Description
Hello! We have a Black Lab that is almost 7 months old, free to a good home. He was born on 12/12/20 and have had him since around March. We rescued him because the previous owner had a medical condition and could not take care of him. We have been caring for him as a temporary home (as we did not want him to go to the pound) and are now looking to re-home him. He is spunky and has a great personality and very loving. He is extremely excitable, so be prepared for lots of energy. He is about 80% house-trained. He has a few accidents here and there, but these are mostly from excitement (like when somebody comes over or he gets really excited over something). He still stands to pee and has not learned to cock his leg to pee (this is a plus, IMO). He is great with other animals (cats and other dogs) and good with children. However, his size can make it rather difficult and he is still a puppy and plays a little hard at times. If he is going to be around other animals, he really needs to be with those that are within his size frame. He’s a pretty big (and strong!) boy. He has already had all of his shots and boosters for the year, as well as his rabies shot. However, he will need to be neutered, if you choose to do so, as well as microchipped. If you are interested, please contact us and answer the following questions: 1. Do you have a fenced in yard or a means of tie out that is safe and secure for him? 2. Do you have a vet who can see him when needed, as well as for any yearly shots (like rabies). 3. Do you rent or own your home? If you rent, please ensure that you can have pets, as I know some may also have size requirements. 4. Do you have any other pets or small children? 5. He is crate trained, so he will need a crate for continued training. Can this be supplied, as well as weekly grooming (brushing and claw clipping)? He is a massive shedder. 6. Will he be kept primarily indoors or out? All he currently know is being an indoor dog. If he is to be outdoor, there will be some major adjustments required. Thank you for your interest. Please note that if you respond without answers for these question, we will not reply back. We are solely seeking a great forever home for him and not something that will be temporary. Please be patient with us, as we will be going through all responses to determine a best fit for him.
