Jack is a blue crown conure (like the bird from the movie Paulie) currently coexisting with two sun conures, but he ideally needs a bird friend that is closer to his size. He is 2 years old and says a few words and phrases (Wha'cha doing bubba, peekaboo, wanna kiss?, hi, etc.) He is very smart, usually very sweet, and trainable. He knows how to spin and will come when I call him. The person who adopts Jack needs to have larger bird experience. I won't lie; birds of Jack's intelligence and size need someone who knows what they are doing and a very enriched environment. He loves to chew and goes through soft wood toys like they are paper. He is not very interested in hard wood (except maybe the kitchen cabinets :-p). He is an excellent forager. Jack will also need a large cage. He is currently living in a large indoor aviary (4'x4'x6'), which gives him the ability to fly around and burn off some of his excess energy. Unless he is allowed to live mainly cage free, he will need a fairly large space to live in. He is fully flighted, and I would prefer that he goes to a home that plans to let him keep his flight feathers. He comes to me when I call him and I have been recall training him in case he ever escapes.He is on a healthy diet of vegetables, fruit, and cooked grains, with walnuts for training treats and small amounts of seeds once a week.
