JOB DESCRIPTION: WAREHOUSE/ TANK FARM/SHIPPING General Description: Unless otherwise defined by applicable law, any employment relationship with this organization is of an “at-will” nature, which means that the Employee may resign at any time and the Employer may discharge Employee at any time with or without cause. Operates forklifts and warehouse equipment: Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near the warehouse, including liquid transfers, performing any combination of the following duties: Reads receiving or moving tickets to store or prepare items for shipment. Opens containers, using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools. Loads and unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, and shelves by hand. Counts, weigh, and records number of units of material received and issued for any particular job. Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers. Lifts heavy objects by hand or using power hoist, and cleans work area using broom rags and cleaning compounds. May assemble crates to contain products such as machines or large motors, using hand tools and pre-cut lumber. Essential Functions: The individual assigned to this position must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to perform the following Essential Functions: Enter and work in internally confined spaces. Manipulate and transport loads up to 50 pounds over distances of up to 200 feet, approximately 1 to 6 times during each 8 hour shift. Traverse gangways and scaffolding at varying heights. Traverse and negotiate uneven surfaces. Ascend and work at heights. Stooping, squatting, twisting, kneeling, and reaching.
